Diagnosis, drainage and therapy of liquid and gas accumulation in the pleural and peritoneal cavity e.g.: pneumothorax, hemothorax, pleural effusion, ascites.
Apart from drainage, medicaments and rinsing solutions can be inserted over the needle or the catheter in accordance with the therapy and the SPC of the medication, e.g.: antibiotics, talcum, lavage.
