                      PLS2 TPLO Plates
                      Plate for Dogs and Cats 2.0 / 2.4 / 2.7 / 3.5

Anatomically polyaxial shaped TPLO plate made of implant steel with polyaxial screw holes – for cruciate ligament repair in dogs and cats.

TPLO implants for veterinary medicine: The PLS2 TPLO plate is a polyaxial implant made of medical implant stainless steel, developed for the treatment of cruciate ligament tears in dogs and cats. The design supports precise placement and stable fixation in the area of the tibial head.

                      Advantages of TPLO Plates

                      • Anatomically adapted plate design
The shape of the PLS2 TPLO plate tailored to the anatomical structure of the tibia and facilitates implant placement.
                      • Polyaxial screw fixation with safety limitation
The screw holes located in the plate head are designed to have a proximal angle limitation – to avoid screw placement toward the joint space.
                      • DCP hole perpendicular to the cut line
Supports targeted compression of the TPLO cut fragments.
                      • Recess for Hohmann retractor
At the distal end of the plate, there is a recess for minimally invasive use with a retractor.
                      • Holes for pre-fixation

Two additional holes allow temporary fixation with Kirschner wires.
The plate design allows for relatively proximal implant placement and a consistant high tibial cut:

                      • Proximal positioning for stable screw anchoring and improved biomechanical stability in the upper tibial segment.
                      • Reduction of the risk of fissures or fractures in the area of the tibial tuberosity.
                      • Better mechanical leverage, as the center of rotation of the cut is closer to the biomechanical center of the tibial plateau.
                      • Less impact on surrounding soft tissue (e.g., M. tibialis cranialis, patellar tendon).
